Woven Communities

ECRED at the University of Edinburgh.

DEEP UK wide network of groups of people living with dementia. I have had the enormous privilege of facilitating two DEEP groups but the work DEEP and Innovations in Dementia encompasses is very much broader in publications, research, relationship support, projects and more.

Donald Meek’s blog Twentieth-century Gaelic (and Hebridean) literature: 'Portraying and Positioning the Hebridean "Fringe"'. I stumbled upon this blog when looking for evidence related to perspectives about Hebridean life and I enjoyed the alignments on ‘edges’. We’re always central to wherever we are - who decides where the edges are, anyway? Living in the Hebrides, for me, didn’t feel like a remote edge. It felt more like Wednesday morning at a team meeting at work in Stornoway or Thursday afternoon driving over the Clisham into Harris.
